The 3rd China International Import Expo 2020 (hereinafter called as “the Expo”) will be held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10.

Despite the impact of the global COVID-19 epidemic, CIIE, as a major initiative taken by the Chinese government to firmly support trade liberalization and economic globalization and open its market to the rest of the world, has attracted extensive attention from industrial and commercial circles, exhibitors and professional purchasers from around the world. In particular, Chinese economy has been the first to recover from the epidemic, and the Chinese market is full of vitality. Exhibitors from all countries, including overseas enterprises owned by ChemChina, are enthusiastic about the Expo. 

ChemChina has organized five overseas enterprises to participate in the Expo. For the first time, Syngenta in Switzerland and ADAMA in Israel are co-exhibitors under the name of the newly-established Syngenta Group this year. Elken in France, ADISSEO in France and KraussMaffei in Germany will stage at the Expo.

The newly-established Syngenta Group will Make Debuts at the Expo for the First Time 

In the agricultural sector, ChemChina’s subsidiary Syngenta (booth 1.1B8-04) from Switzerland and ADAMA (SZ 000553, booth 1.1B8-05) from Israel are co-exhibitors under the name of the newly-established Syngenta Group this year. As the world’s largest crop protection company and the third largest seed company, Syngenta Group brings together strength of four business segments -- Syngenta Crop Protection (headquartered in Switzerland), Syngenta Seeds (headquartered in the United States), ADAMA (headquartered in Israel), and Syngenta Group China -- to serve global customers with industry-leading solutions. At the Syngenta booth, high-quality vegetable seeds will be displayed -- fresh sweet corn, high-quality colorful peppers, snack cherry tomatoes and purple cocktail-type tomatoes and so on. These seeds not only have excellent disease resistance and yield advantages, but also feature outstanding advantages in marketability, taste, nutrition and health. Syngenta vegetables and seeds have a history of more than 150 years, covering 30 crop types, with more than 2,500 vegetable varieties, and about 150 new varieties are introduced every year. ADAMA focus the exhibition on improving the quality of staple foods and ensuring food security. At the Expo, the rice to be exhibited by ADAMA comes from the 4,000-mu Xiaozhandao core demonstration farm jointly built by ADAMA and Tianjin Technical Service Center of Sinochem Agricultural Industry MAP (Modern Agricultural Platform), with whole-process crop protection technical scheme provided by ADAMA. This October, the Xiaozhandao demonstration farm reaped a bumper harvest and 4,000-mu demonstration farm showed excellent performance in various planting indicators, with the rice production increasing by 5%, milled rice rate by 1%. Furthermore, combined with the scientific use of low-toxicity and low-residue pesticides, the overall spraying times of pesticides reduced one time compared with the conventional spraying times. Farmers’ combined savings and income increase reached 8.67%, and consumers can enjoy higher quality rice. 

Elken’ Booth Area Doubled, Showing E World of Organosilicon 

Elken (booth 4.1 C6-003) in France under ChemChina has doubled its booth area this year, focusing on the future development trend. With three themes of “to Natural Ecology”, “Intelligent Innovative Technology” and “to Better Life”, Elken will bring the world’s leading organosilicon material solutions to key markets in China and will present more than 30 innovative solutions that meet the current and future needs of the Chinese market. At the same time, Elken uses a sand-table model at the booth to demonstrate an E world of organosilicon, comprehensively showing the important role of organosilicon materials in smart travel, smart life, low-carbon environmental protection, clean energy and other industries and sectors. Organicsilicon materials are basic necessities of human life, which, therefore, is viewed as the “catalyst” for scientific and technological progress and social development. Elken is among the earliest companies in the world to develop and produce organicsilicon materials and also the creator of the world’s first silicone sealant. It has more than 60 years of organicsilicon technical knowledge and industry experience. 

ADISSEO Puts “Science” First

(Krauss SH600579, booth 3B6-004) in Germany under ChemChina will stage at the CIIE with many world’s leading innovative technologies and solutions. Aiming at the construction of new infrastructure and new energy, demand for high-quality pultruded composite materials in China is booming. To this end, Kraussmaffei has developed a new integrated solution for iPul? pultrusion molding system in this field. At The 2nd China International Import Expo in 2019, KraussMaffei demonstrated a modified extrusion technology for recycling economy - waste plastic, which attracted wide customer’s attention. Combining with the personalized “green” demand of Chinese customers and based on global process experience, KraussMaffei and its upstream and downstream partners jointly developed blending modified extrusion technology for biodegradable materials, which will be presented at this Expo. Adhering to the gene of German enterprises and committed to the construction of industry 4.0, KraussMaffei, as an intelligent pioneer in the industry, will also exhibit AR remote assistant, intelligent production consultant and other digital methods and solutions at the Expo to help Chinese rubber and plastic enterprises “become more intelligent”.
