Cangzhou Dahua’s Silicone Copolymer PC Project Completes First Pilot Run

On July 7, Cangzhou Dahua Group Co. Ltd.  (“Cangzhou Dahua”) successfully completed its first silicone copolymer polycarbonate (PC)  project pilot run , becoming the first company in China using continuous production  of silicone copolymer PC,  which filled in the gap in this field in China and greatly enhanced the company’s core competitiveness.
Silicone copolymer PC  is one of the top-class PC products. The successful launch established Cangzhou Dahua the leading position in China’s PC industry, as well as that in global market, which will impact significantly on the development of China’s PC industry. 
Polycarbonate (PC) is an amorphous, colorless, and transparent  thermoplastic polymer and is one of the five most widely used engineering plastics globally. PC materials have excellent creep resistance, impact resistance , relatively high elongation rate, stiffness, flexural strength , and tensile strength , as well as good heat resistance and cold resistance . In industrial production of PC, interfacial phosgenation  is the main method and Bisphenol A (BPA)  is the main raw material.
In recent years, Cangzhou Dahua has focused on high-end PC technologies, stepped up research & development and technological innovation, and rapidly advanced the development of silicone copolymer PC.  After hundreds of experiments, analyses and resoning, the company has opened up the process covering R&D and production.
