Pirelli Launches New 18-inch Racing Tires

Pirelli has recently launched a new 18-inch Formula 1 racing tire with a new materials formula and design, providing their tires with a higher-level of performance.

This season, the Formula 1 (F1) race enlarged the size of regulation racing tires from 13 inches to 18 inches. Pirelli’s new 18-inch racing tire is designed with greater preciseness to ensure maximum stability with less overheating during steering. In addition, the flatter sidewall design helps further reduce the overall aerodynamic impact of the tire on the car. Reportedly, Pirelli also plans to apply the F1 tire technology to 18-inch passenger car tires, accelerating the transfer of racing tire technology to civilian tires.
