KraussMaffei’s TPO Waterproof Membranes Production Line Successfully Put into Operation

Lately, KraussMaffei’s TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) waterproof membranes production line was successfully commissioned at Skshu Paint’s Anhui Mingguang factory and officially delivered to customers for production. The production line will be used for the automatic production of P-type (polyester fiber internally reinforced), H-type (homogeneous) and HL-type (backing non-woven fabric type) TPO waterproof membranes, which can achieve capacity as high as 17 million ㎡/ year .

TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) waterproof membranes embrace the advantages of high impermeability, high weather resistance, easy maintenance, long life, green and environmental protection, which is widely used in green building applications such as planting roof systems, photovoltaic roof systems, and cold roof systems. Its waterproof design life can reach 15 years. With the rise of a large number of steel-structure industrial plants and public buildings in China, and the continuous improvement of waterproof standards, TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) waterproof membranes will be further widely promoted and applied, and the market demand will continue to expand.

KraussMaffei has more than 30 years’s experience in producing polymer roof waterproofing membranes, with more than 50 production lines delivered worldwide. The production lines can flexibly fulfill different process requirements including different layer thickness arrangements on the upper and lower layers of the sheet, various reinforcement layers, felt backing, different colors, fillers and flame retardants, and different sizes and rolling-up, etc.
