Elkem recently unveiled SILBIONE? LSR Select EC 70, a next-generation medical-grade liquid silicone rubber.?It?is the latest breakthrough resulting from years of cooperation between Elkem and its partners.?The product combines high conductivity, biocompatibility, and precise process control. It works?flawlessly with existing injection molding equipment, providing a fresh solution for precision medical applications.

The new material has a resistivity below 10 ohm-centimeters, making it highly conductive and perfect for wearable devices, flexible electronics, and advanced sensors. Its liquid injection moldable form allows for intricate designs, while its durability and flexibility ensure long-lasting performance in challenging conditions. The material is also biocompatible, having passed ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity and ISO 10993-10 skin sensitization tests, making it suitable for applications like prosthetics, diagnostic tools, and next-generation flexible circuits.

The product is now commercially available and is designed to work with Elkem’s?LSR Select??precision liquid silicone rubber injection molding solution.
